New York Working Families Party Endorses Dylan Hewitt in Race for NY-21

Elise Stefanik moved into the Adirondacks just to run for Congress, and then let polluters come after our home. She's ignored the threat of forever chemicals contaminating our water and she’s let big corporations threaten our way of life.

I'm a seventh-generation Upstate New Yorker, born and raised in South Glens Falls. I'll ban forever chemicals, make polluters pay for every drop of contamination, and create clean energy jobs that can't be shipped overseas. You can keep climbing the High Peaks, fishing our lakes, and hunting our game without worrying about corporate poison. Because the North Country isn’t for sale.

Protecting the Adirondacks and Mohawk Valley

As a White House trade official, I served our country to protect American workers and farmers against a rigged economy. I’ve seen firsthand how corporate consolidation hollows out local economies like ours.

When companies have to compete for your business, they lower prices to win you over. Right now, they don't have to compete, and they jack up prices because you have nowhere else to go.

Rural Voters Must Stand Up to Monopolies to Lower Costs

I believe in the dignity of your work.
You deserve a full-time job that pays enough to raise a family, to join a union if you want, and retire with Social Security you can count on.

I've served our country to defend American workers, take on rising costs, and protect our national security against China. Elise Stefanik sided with her billionaire donors and greedy corporations to make life unaffordable. Reckless tariffs at the northern border are hammering our families, farmers, and small businesses, keeping wages low and hollowing out our local economies.

It's time to take care of our own.
I'll invest in manufacturing here at home, strengthen supply chains so we're not dependent on other countries, and hold companies accountable so they pay our tax dollars back if they ship jobs overseas. I'll crack down on price gouging and raise the minimum wage to grow America’s middle class.

Elise takes orders from the same corporate interests funding her campaigns, and Congress keeps getting richer from trading stocks while you struggle with bills.
No wonder Elise blocked the Epstein Files—she protects her wealthy friends, not us.

Public service means serving people, not cashing in. I'll ban Congressional stock trading, overturn Citizens United, impose term limits, and restore voting rights. When Republicans cheat with gerrymandering, I'll punch back like any New Yorker should.

Democracy belongs to us, not the crooks buying politicians.

Democracy

Freedom

Elise Stefanik sides with Big Tech billionaires like Elon Musk while big box stores gut our Main Streets, Facebook kills our local papers, and agribusiness giants crush our farms. She’s let monopolies rewrite the rules while our working families get left behind.

I know that greedy corporations are squeezing out family farmers, small business owners, and entrepreneurs in the North Country. I’ll break up the agriculture monopolies strangling our farmers, take on National Grid jacking up our electric bills, and stop stupid fees from airlines and Ticketmaster. I’ll protect your right to repair your own equipment and expand broadband infrastructure so you can compete. When corporations break the law, they'll pay the price. Not you.

Fair Competition

Elise Stefanik brags she cast the deciding vote to gut Medicaid, putting 5 North Country hospitals at risk of closure and leaving a 114-mile stretch of no care for our children, seniors, and veterans. Why? All to make her billionaire donors even richer.

At just 17, I ran the South High Marathon Dance to help our neighbors afford their health care, and I will never forget calling my third-grade teacher’s family to tell them we’d cover the cost for their 9-month-old’s surgery. The North Country taught me that Medicaid and Medicare aren’t a privilege—they are a promise we make to each other.

I’ll fight to make sure your health care is always there when you need it: VA care for Fort Drum families, capped insulin and prescription costs, mental health and addiction treatment, and protected reproductive healthcare.

Healthcare

A renowned figure in antitrust law, Zephyr Teachout's support solidifies Dylan Hewitt as the only candidate in this race prepared to hold the powerful accountable and take on the monopolies that have jacked up costs for New Yorkers.

Anticorruption Leader Zephyr Teachout Endorses Dylan Hewitt for Congress in New York’s 21st District

Following his successful effort to release the Epstein Files, Congressman Ro Khanna announced his endorsement of Dylan Hewitt for Congress in New York’s 21st District.

Congressman Ro Khanna Endorses Dylan Hewitt for Congress in New York’s 21st District

Elise Stefanik turned her back on our kids. She slashed Head Start, cut Pell Grants, and her SNAP cuts mean more families here will go hungry.

My two sisters and I are proud to have graduated from our public schools right here in the North Country. My dad was the principal in Greenfield Center, my mom was a social worker, my Grandpa Tom was a social studies teacher in Hadley-Luzerne. After serving in World War II, the GI bill gave my grandfather an education, a pathway to homeownership, and a strong middle-class life.

I’ll fight to guarantee your family has the same freedom to thrive with paid family leave, universal child care and pre-K, an expanded Child Tax Credit, fully-funded public schools, and BOCES programs that set up real pathways for success. Every student should graduate with a job offer, college acceptance, or skills to start their own business.

That’s not too much to ask for in America.
